Marketing Manager

Batchelor Institute is the only Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples dual sector tertiary education provider in Australia. The Institute gives precedence to its philosophy of Both Ways: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as knowledge holders in all educational transactions with Western knowledge systems as well as privileging First Nations ways of learning and teaching to underpin our engagement with mainstream education systems and society more broadly.

The Marketing Manager will contribute to positioning the Institute as the first preference tertiary provider for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and academic and professional staff. The Marketing Manager will manage the delivery of effective, strategic and tactical marketing activities to attract new students, new partnerships and new funding for Batchelor Institute. The Marketing Manager will research, develop, implement and evaluate integrated marketing communication plans and tactics for Batchelor Institute to achieve organisational objectives.

Key responsibilities

  • Translate market research into integrated marketing and communications strategies and plans in line with Batchelor Institutes Strategic Plan 2020 - 2022.
  • Drive new initiatives to continuously improve the effectiveness of Batchelor Institutes integrated marketing and communications activities to position the Institute as the preferred tertiary provider for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in remote and urban settings, and academic and professional staff.
  • Manage and coordinate the development of marketing and communications channels, tools and processes for Batchelor Institute, across campuses and to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong working partnerships with external stakeholders including Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander organisations, government officials, government departments and business partners to support marketing activity.
