Senior Project Engineer - Road Construction

Goldsmith has been a civil contractor for more than 60 years now operating throughout Victoria. We specialise in the delivery of bulk earthworks and major civil projects throughout Victoria, Goldsmiths is an employer of choice that prioritises professional development, training and a well-rounded work life balance. Were looking to appoint a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer, in a full-time role based in Melbournes southeast. The right candidates for this role will have at least 5 years industry experience delivering major civil projects, including roadworks, earthworks, drainage and pavement construction. 

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Procurement.
• Subcontractor management.
• Quality control.
• Cost control, production forecasting and reporting.
• Client communications.
• Assisting the site team with daily planning, look ahead programs.
• Mentoring Graduate and Site Engineers.
• Working collaboratively with Project Managers, Foreman and Supervisors to deliver successful project outcomes.

Applicants are expected to meet the following criteria:

• A minimum of 5 years relevant industry experience working on VicRoads or MRPV projects.
• A tertiary qualification in civil engineering.
• Excellent skills in the use of MS Excel, MS Word and MS Project.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Current drivers licence and Construction Induction Card.
