Senior HSEQ Advisor

We are currently seeking a Senior HSEQ Advisor to work in our growing Geraldton team.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Build and promote a strong and compliant health and safety culture
• Develop, drive and facilitate the consistent improvement strategies
• Develop, review and implement HSEQ plans, risk management plans, policies, procedures and processes as required ensuring legislative compliance
• Coach and provide advice to management, supervisors and employees on matters relating to the interpretation of OSH Safety Act, legislation, regulations, policies, plans and procedures

Qualifications:

• Min Diploma in Work Health & Safety
• Certificate IV Workplace Trainer and Assessor
• Lead Auditor Certification - Desirable

Skills and Experience:

• 2-5 years experience in a Health Safety Environment Quality Advisor role within Civil Construction industry
• Strong knowledge of HSE legislation, regulations and acts
• Demonstrated working knowledge of HSEQ certification standards
• Lead Auditor experience (desirable)
• Advanced computer skills with the ability to prepare detailed reports
• Experience using a HSEQ management system
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in Main Roads Heavy Vehicle Accreditation
• Understanding and Experience in the requirements for Accreditation against Australian standards ISO 45001, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
