We're looking for a curious, self-motivated and experienced data wrangler and storyteller who can clearly articulate ideas, frame problems and offer solutions. You know your left joins from your right, thrive in a multi-disciplinary team where you can learn from and share with others, and strive for repeatable and reusable patterns and actionability in the data pipelines and analytic solutions you create.

We are after a dynamic data analyst with strong programming skills, who can discover hidden opportunities in data and champion a data driven culture to inform the development, design and delivery of government policies and programs. You will need to demonstrate your end to end skill set, knowledge of current trends, in depth understanding of source systems and automation expertise to provide unique and targeted insights based on actionability and business impact.
The successful applicant will be confident in designing effective, user-centered reports, dashboards and visualisations, in presenting and communicating these, and in adopting Agile delivery approaches to support the Jobs Victoria team deliver on program outcomes.
Successful candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Records Check prior to commencing employment with the Department.
