SHIPPING CLERK / ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT
A major distributor of hardware, building supplies and garden products in Wingfield, requires a full time Shipping Clerk / Administration Assistant in our busy office. We have been operating since 1983 and are one of the largest distributors in our field, handling over 400 containers a year.
Duties and Responsibilities, but are not limited to -
Booking / tracking / negotiating shipments with our freight forwarders.
Coordination of shipping documentation including customs clearance and invoices.
Liaising with overseas manufacturers on delivery of orders.
Entering stock orders.
Authorising supplier payments.
Maintaining shipment schedules and other spreadsheets.
Process incoming customer orders.
Take phone calls and assist with administration tasks.
Full time permanent role, Monday to Friday - 9am to 5pm, with occasional overtime required.
Skills and Attributes
Attention to detail
Ability to work well within the existing collaborative team
Self-motivated with the ability to work proactively and autonomously
Qualifications in Shipping and Export Documentation advantageous but not essential
The successful candidate will have an easy going and friendly attitude and be able to handle a wide variety of tasks and a willingness to provide high level of customer service. Experience in shipping is not necessary as full training will be provided.
