Shipping Clerk / Administration Assistant

Full Time Permanent Position, Immediate start, Variety of work in a team environment, Wingfield Location.


A major distributor of hardware, building supplies and garden products in Wingfield, requires a full time Shipping Clerk / Administration Assistant in our busy office.  We have been operating since 1983 and are one of the largest distributors in our field, handling over 400 containers a year.

Duties and Responsibilities, but are not limited to -

  • Booking / tracking / negotiating shipments with our freight forwarders.
  • Coordination of shipping documentation including customs clearance and invoices.
  • Liaising with overseas manufacturers on delivery of orders.
  • Entering stock orders.
  • Authorising supplier payments.
  • Maintaining shipment schedules and other spreadsheets.
  • Process incoming customer orders.
  • Take phone calls and assist with administration tasks.
  • Full time permanent role, Monday to Friday -  9am to 5pm, with occasional overtime required.

  • Qualifications in Shipping and Export Documentation advantageous but not essential

The successful candidate will have an easy going and friendly attitude and be able to handle a wide variety of tasks and a willingness to provide high level of customer service.  Experience in shipping is not necessary as full training will be provided.
