ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Mid-Level Project Architect to join our Brisbane studio. You will be a confident communicator with strong leadership skills and the ability to balance multiple projects. You will have expert code and compliance knowledge with 5-7 years experience (5+ local experience), a keen eye for design and detail, and the ability to manage a variety of stakeholders and their needs. DKO is a design-focused studio.
Working across masterplanning, multi-residential and mixed-use projects, the specific roles and activities are (but not limited to) the following:
To carry out concept design work
To carry out work associated with preparing Architectural Planning application submissions
To undertake Urban Design and Masterplanning tasks
Consultative approach to manage, liaise with and co-ordinate the various requirements and activities of Clients, Consultants and local Councils
To carry out Site Analysis and Site Context Analysis
To relate designs to relevant codes and local council requirements
Management of construction documentation packages
An ability to manage a team and inspire design excellence across all projects

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
5-7 years experience (5+ years local experience)
Solid knowledge of Local Planning Codes
A keen eye for detail and practicality
Quality hand sketching and detailing
Sound organisation, time management and co-ordination
Excellent communication skills
Commensurate with experience and ability
