HSEQ System Manager

Using your strong relationship management and communication skills, you will be responsible for providing Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) leadership and advice and sharing your technical knowledge to contribute to the success of the division and the company.

Please note:

This role could be filled as an employee or consultant. There is flexibility in the location as the role could be delivered from the ACT or NSW.

Main responsibilities:

  • Assist Benmaxs NATA Authorised Representative in maintenance of ISO/IEC 17025 management system for testing laboratory
  • Manage library of Benmax systems documentation in SharePoint, by working with Process Owners to write, revise and publish policies, procedures, guidelines, forms, checklists and work instructions
  • Provide leadership and guidance for HSEQ Coordinators in Australia and New Zealand, including regular team meetings and updates on relevant legislative changes
  • Conduct training, or assist in facilitating training, on management system processes
  • Maintain the Improvement Action Register capturing opportunities for improvement that are raised in external and internal audits, risk reviews, client feedback or other sources
  • Provide advice for Process Owners on, and assistance with, process improvement which may be a result of new IT systems or other business-related changes affecting processes
  • Undertake risk reviews in conjunction with Process Owners and drive implementation of risk treatments
  • Completing reports as required

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Maintain certification to current (or revised) international standards for management systems
  • Ensure that internal audits are conducted as scheduled
  • Ensure process reviews are up to date

Knowledge and skills:

  • Qualified internal management systems auditor (essential)
  • Certificate IV in WHS (desirable)
  • Minimum five years experience with management systems
  • Experience in Engineering, Construction or Building industries (desirable)
  • Experienced ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 practitioner (essential)
  • Advanced level of expertise with Microsoft Word, intermediate level Excel (essential)
  • Proficient at written and oral communication
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint (desirable)
