An exciting opportunity exists for a permanent full time Overseer Parks and Recreation to join our Engineering and Infrastructure Directorate in Glenden, Nebo, St Lawrence or Moranbah.
  
Reporting to the Acting Manager Parks and Recreation, this position is responsible for organising and delivering parks and recreation operational and capital programs and shall provide the operational leadership of parks and recreation activities in Glenden, Nebo, St Lawrence and Moranbah.
  
The successful candidate will have:

• Tertiary qualifications, knowledge and/or experience in horticulture or parks and gardens maintenance;
• Substantial demonstrated supervisory experience in this field; and
• The ability to utilise well developed communication skills to achieve works program objectives. Experience or knowledge of Local Government is favourable.

For this position we offer:

• Salary $91,405.36 - $99,389.25 per annum
• Nominally 72.5 hours per fortnight
• 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading
• 12% Super in accordance with Council Policy
• RDO’s in accordance with Council Policy
• Subsidised housing in accordance with Council Policy
• Commuter-Use Vehicle in accordance with Council Policy
