Qualifications & experience

  • This role is for someone who is excited by the challenge of establishing a local presence in a new area. 
  • Strong communication and customer service skills are paramount to building new client relationships and establishing/ maintaining good rapport.
  • This is a challenging, hands-on role for someone with a background in engineering, boiler-making, Mining, HVAC, refrigeration or the like.
  • Ideally, you will have proven experience in the maintenance, installation and operation of boilers and/or other pressure vessels and hold relevant qualifications in engineering, boiler-making or similar.
  • Any training and/or qualifications in AICIP will be highly desired.
  • Recent engineering graduates with tertiary level qualifications who don't have any relevant experience will also be considered.
  • The successful candidate will possess an excellent command of the English language, with good customer rapport, report writing and computer skills.
  • You will be well versed in workplace health and safety procedures, with an understanding of plant and machinery and the ability to perform intermediate mathematical calculations.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Inspecting and reporting on the safety and compliance to the Australian New Zealand Standards for Pressure Equipment, displaying a high degree of responsibility.
  • Completing comprehensive report writing for each inspection.
  • Assisting our clients to understand their pressure equipment compliance responsibilities.
  • Remaining aware of WHS Legislation and risk management at all times.
  • Adhering to correct technical procedures.
  • Travelling to a range of client sites to inspect their pressure equipment including mines, gas plants, workshops, retail, manufacturing, rail, etc.
