We are currently inviting applications for the role of:
St Margaret’s has a range of modern and historical, teaching and learning facilities, sports and cultural resources. In 2021, the school opened their state-of-the-art sports precinct. The Facilities Manager is responsible for managing the strategic and daily operations, security, maintenance and presentation of the school’s facilities, within assigned budgets.
The role is responsible for:
- Strategic leadership of the school’s facilities
- Daily operational leadership of the facility
- Safety and security of the school site
The successful candidate will be experienced in all aspects of facilities management and have the ability to think strategically ensuring not only the maintenance and presentation of the facilities for today but for years to come. You will possess knowledge of a wide range of trades and have demonstrated experience with coordinating different trades and facilities professionals to deliver on key facilities projects. Previous experience managing and maintaining an aquatic centre would be highly regarded.
This role communicates with a range of people daily such as contractors and trades, staff, students and neighbours, therefore it is essential you have well developed interpersonal skills. You will have strong team leadership skills, fostering a sense of teamwork whilst leading the team to meet all timelines and ensure an exceptional level of service.
You will have an excellent working knowledge of relevant WHS legislation and best practice and be committed to ensuring compliance and safety across the site at all times and contributing to a safety conscious culture.
The successful candidate will have a flexible approach to their work and have the ability to think quickly on your feet to problem solve and adapt to changing operational needs. This includes operating as one of the team and completing manual work as required.
This is a full-time role and will initially be offered on a 3 year contract. An extension to this contract may be considered at the conclusion of this initial contract.
