Manildra Packing is a joint venture between the Manildra Group and MSM Milling who are Australia's leading family-owned integrated oilseed crushing, refining, packing and feed milling facility based in Manildra, a short drive from Orange in the heart of the NSW canola growing region. MSM Milling process Non-GM canola seed into oil, meal and feed pellet products which are sold to major food manufacturers, quick service restaurants and stock feeders here in Australia and around the world.
We are currently undergoing major growth through expansion to new domestic and export markets and as such we are looking for a Packing Assistant Production Supervisor to join our team.
Ensure compliance with all relevant accreditations for the Crushing and Refinery operation in conjunction with Technical / QA Manager Understand, supervise and reduce the risks around WH&S, Environment and quality.
Communicate safety procedures to all staff, contractors and visitors ensuring they are understood
Drive a focus on drum making and oils packing in all key areas - giveaway, quality & waste
Evaluate & cost process improvement projects, energy consumption and other areas of cost focus.
Work with MP Planning and maintenance management and staff to schedule planned and preventative maintenance, resolve equipment faults and deliver agreed projects & process improvement to meet operational / production timelines, safety and quality specifications
Closely monitor plant performance by checking hourly throughputs and daily production reports and developing strategies to improve
Monitor SCADA data and review all process settings in consultation with plant operators and maintenance staff.
Key skills & experience required:
Experience in troubleshooting complex systems and working with drum, PET line and edible oil technology
Demonstrated understanding and experience in undertaking Quality Assurance Activities
Experience in a Packing/Drum manufacturing role and leading teams in a production environment that includes the responsibility for planning and directing work activities
Experience in creating standard operating procedures, planning and stock control processes.
Have a working knowledge of GMP, HACCP and Food and/or Feed Safety
Working knowledge of ERP systems.
Qualifications in related industry or work area/or equivalent experience
Confined space trained.
