About the Company

With a proud 40-year history, the City Motor Group Adelaide (previously City Holden) is entering an exciting new phase of expansion and development with the latest acquisition of the Kia and LDV brand, and most recently the GMSV brand.  In 2020 the company relocated their Head Office and the Sales operation to a brand new, purpose built, state-of-the-art facility and showroom.  CMG Adelaide is a privately owned family business which values it culture and the way its employees work together, and is dedicated to providing the highest level of customer satisfaction and service. 

About the Role

Due to an internal promotion, we are seeking an energetic and self-motivated individual to join our professional and dynamic Dealership in the role of Stock Controller.  

Stock Controller

  • Ordering of stock from manufacturer and daily reporting of sales/deliveries to Kia/LDV/GMSV
  • Negotiate swaps with local/national dealers as required;
  • Maintaining accurate stock lists for fleet and retail sales departments;
  • Arrange for transfer of vehicles between company sites and other Dealerships;
  • Undertaking periodic inventory stock-takes;
  • Maintain both retail and fleet order banks on a daily basis;
  • Maintaining a business relationship within the Kia/LDV/GMSV Dealer Networks;
  • Liaising with General Manager, General Sales Manager, Sales Consultants and Manufacturer representatives, to ensure efficient movement of vehicles into stock and expeditiously to Sales Consultants and customers.

Skills and Experience

  • Automotive industry experience would be considered an advantage, but not essential;
  • Exposure to ERA would be highly regarded;
  • Exceptional customer service focus;
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Negotiation and problem solving ability
  • Discipline for process and procedure, including a strong attention to detail;
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills;
  • Team orientated individual with ability to apply a high degree of autonomy;
