Leading Hand/Supporting Manager Dryland Cropping & Livestock

A substantial dryland cropping enterprise in north-western NSW which operates to a high professional standard, requires a Leading Hand/Supporting Manager for farming operations.

Responsibilities

In this hands on role you will be reporting to both the Farm Owner and the Farm Manager.   You will be involved in a range of farm operations, in particular operation of modern plant & machinery, implementation of new farming technology as well as day-to-day activities such as infrastructure maintenance and chemical use.

Experience and Education

• Experience with modern farming technology and machinery, essential
• Mechanical ability, very important
• Truck Licence beneficial but not essential
• Livestock experience, beneficial
• Tertiary qualifications in farm management, well regarded
• Current Chemcert
• Drivers Licence

We are seeking a highly motivated and capable hands on Leading Hand that takes responsibility and shows initiative.  You will be able to work independently as well as part of a team.  The position may involve relief work for the Farm Manager.

A remuneration package, which includes a fresh and modern on-farm house, will be negotiated with the successful candidate, reflecting experience and qualifications.
