Palliative Care Queensland (PCQ) is a leading charity and independent peak body representing palliative care providers, consumers and their families and those with an interest in palliative care in Queensland. PCQ was established in 1988 and is a membership-based organisation, supporting the individuals, families, carers, community members, as well as specialist and generalist health care professionals working with Queenslanders experiencing serious illness, dying, death and grief. About the role

Position Description
Salary Range: $35 - $39 per hour (dependent on experience and qualifications) + superannuation

The Marketing, Events and Communications Officer will play an important role in providing support for the Marketing, Events and Communications (MEC) team. Particularly focusing on supporting the events and CRM aspect of the MEC team.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
Coordinate support for events, including venue bookings, facilitators/speaker management, ticketing management, promotion, resources and evaluation aspect.
Coordinate support during face-to-face events including bump in and out, welcome desk coordination, resource collation and distribution, and evaluation coordination as needed.
Coordinate CRM, in relation to the MEC team, (which may include using Raklet, wordpress, mailchimp, better impact and Eventbrite) and basic reporting on events and CRM data
Develop and maintain a proactive and consistent online and social media presence for Palliative Care Queensland across all platforms. Maintain and utilise social media calendar to manage online activity.
Use platforms such as InDesign, Canva and Publisher to develop PCQ promotional material such as flyers, brochures, social media tiles, etc.
Key Attributes
Previous experience in a similar role
Previous experience in CRMs
Previous experience supporting events management
Demonstrated experience in providing support in relation to marketing, events and/or communications team, including requiring a medium/high degree of judgement, initiative, confidentiality and sensitivity in the performance of work
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to edit and proofread documents, publications, and communications.
Demonstrated high ability to use computer IT systems including Office365 and videoconferencing, Zoom, CRM / health data records systems
