Marketing & Communications Executive

Position Description

The Marketing and Communications Executive will be responsible for delivering a positive and measurable contribution to sales through the effective development and communication of the Albatross Tours brand and European tour programmes direct to the consumer and travel trade in both Australia and New Zealand.

Initially the role will be part-time (20-24 hours per week), 12-month contract with the potential to lead to a permanent position. The role is office based, although after initial training, working from home will be required for the majority of the first 6-months.
 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and implement marketing campaigns that engage our audience, grow our customer database and generate leads in Australia and New Zealand
  • Manage, co-ordinate and produce engaging content, including stories, videos, images and graphics, to be shared across social media channels, the company website and customer newsletters
  • Create inspiring and informative customer newsletters to engage our customer database and drive new enquiry
  • Implement and develop segmented campaigns to deliver value to our customers 
  • Manage and update content on the company website
  • Liaise with our design agency in the production of our e-brochures
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of all digital marketing campaigns and activities
  • Manage and monitor a limited marketing budget
  • Work with the Managing Director to develop new marketing initiatives 
  • Work with the Project Automation team in the development and implementation of a new website 
     

Required Skills and Experience

  • Marketing/Communications degree (or proven equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 3 years marketing experience, preferably in the travel industry
  • Proven experience in working with email marketing and CRM systems, social media channels and websites 
  • A thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office 
  • Video editing and graphic design skills
