Sailing Administrator

Situated on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula, Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron (BYS) prides itself on being an all-inclusive club with a very relaxed family orientated culture our motto is Family, Friendship, Sailing!

Reporting through to the General Manager, the Sailing Administrator provides administration, organisational and promotional support of all day to day sailing and sail training activities. This includes support for club sailing events including regattas, assisting with the development and increase of participation in all sailing fields and administration of all aspects of boat eligibility requirements.

In collaboration with the Volunteer Coordinator and the Sailing Coach and Boating Coordinator (SCBC), develop and administer volunteer training programs and encourage the engagement of new volunteers. 

The Sailing administrator will combine strong people and organisation skills with a passion for sailing.

Some weekend work maybe required

  • Strong administration and organisational skills
  • A strong level of computer literacy and communication skills at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve problems and conflict and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Well-presented, organised and calm personality
  • Excellent track record of providing a high quality of customer service.
  • Qualified AS instructor would be viewed favorably
  • Experience in the operations of yacht club racing program would be viewed favorably
