Located on Sydneys Northern Beaches, this established private building certification company have been providing professional building regulation consultancy and construction certification for commercial and residential projects for over 15 years.  We currently have an opportunity for a competent administrator to support to the compliance team and ensure timely and accurate building certification outcomes.

You will be an experienced receptionist with well-developed organisational skills and take responsibility for how our clients are welcomed and supported every time they make contact with the business.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Provide a welcoming reception by greeting clients professionally and in a courteous manner - predominantly over the phone, but also in person.
  • Managing incoming and outgoing calls and direct calls and walk in enquiries to appropriate team members.
  • Administrative tasks including data entry, preparation of documentation/applications, collation of approval documents, etc.
  • General administrative support to the team as required, such as ordering and maintaining office supplies.
  • Developing knowledge through on the job training in order to assist in providing advice on building related matters.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar position (previous experience in a building and construction, office based role would be highly regarded);
  • Excellent telephone manner and demonstrated computer literacy, with experience in MS Office Suite;
  • High attention to detail and ability to accurately and consistently complete tasks to schedule;
  • Well-developed written and oral communication skills with people at all levels;
  • Strong organisational skills and confident user of technology;
  • High levels of initiative and a proactive, can-do attitude will contribute to resolving issues as they arise;
  • Good time management and reliable;
  • Experience working in a small, fast paced business with the capacity and adaptability to pitch in and work as part of a team;
  • A demonstrated interest and understanding of areas relating to building certification will be highly regarded.
