About the position
In Queensland, SmartClinics is our largest brand comprising 24 clinics supported from our office in Hendra. We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join the team. This is a full-time position, primarily supporting the Financial Accountant and Accounts Payable Officer as well as the broader group finance function when needed. As the Better Medical Group grows, it is expected that this role will evolve to support the provision of commercial analysis and planning. If you want to work with a strong team in a fast-paced environment where two days are never the same, this may be the role for you.
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:
Support the Financial Accountant with month end close process
Daily reconciliation of bank accounts
Assist with fortnightly calculation of doctors' pay
Processing AP & AR invoices through Microsoft Dynamics Navision
Processing weekly payments and sending of remittances to suppliers
Liaising with both internal and external parties on queries resolving discrepancies
Adhoc general admin duties where required
What you will bring
We are looking for a driven individual who displays a can-do attitude and is willing to take on any task, no matter how big or small.
The successful candidate will possess the following:
Previous accounting/bookkeeping experience in a small to medium organisation
Excellent attention to detail
Well-developed time management and analytical skills
Ability to work closely and support other team members
Experience with Navision or another major finance/ERP system
