About the position Due to continued growth and demand for our services, ALS Industrial has an immediate career opportunity for a suitably experienced Reliability Engineer to join our Newcastle based team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a skilled and professional team where you will gain exposure to consulting services, monitoring techniques, and analytical skills associated with a diverse range of industrial assets. While the position is based in Newcastle (Cameron Park), regular travel to client sites around the local area and greater Hunter region will be required. The position would be suitable for a degree qualified engineer with a strong technical background in rotating machinery and reliability wishing to take the next step in their career. We are seeking an enthusiastic and "hands-on" individual who will be a key team member and support a range of our Machine Diagnostic, Reliability and Conditioning Monitoring Services related to Asset Health Monitoring.
Design and implement comprehensive field measurement studies to solve non routine machine problems.
Lead and participate in engineering investigations and failure analysis ensuring the correct application of theory, practical, and measurements procedures to meet client needs in a timely manner with high quality.
Diagnose equipment faults by evaluating condition monitoring and other data and developing recommendations for maintenance action.
Complete commercial and administrative functions as required to support the execution of work including the preparation of proposals, specifications, job cards, organising work and reviewing technical reports;
Prepare comprehensive technical reports documenting investigation methods and findings.
Passionate about improving asset health and implementing reliability solutions.
Strong technical skills in Vibration Measurement and Analysis and other Machinery Diagnostic/Reliability techniques. Eg. strain, materials, failure analysis and structural integrity.
Analytical strengths, with good problem-solving skills and a willingness to lead site investigations.
Proven customer service instincts and interpersonal relationship skills.
A minimum of 7 years of experience in condition monitoring or related asset engineering supported by a Bachelors Degree in Engineering.
