Innovative and creative design
As a member of our fire and hydraulic services team, you will be responsible for providing efficient and innovative design solutions for various building services projects including; commercial / retail office fit outs, new commercial / industrial buildings, residential and aged care developments, high rise tower base building upgrades, building audits and water saving initiatives.
Your responsibilities will include:
Site survey inspections (including remote sites) to determine existing services and site conditions for the design
Preparation of accurate and detailed hydraulic services (i.e. sanitary plumbing and drainage, water, stormwater, trade waste, gas services, etc.) design solutions
Preparation of accurate and detailed wet fire services (i.e. fire sprinklers, hydrants and hose reels.) design solutions
Preparation of contract documentation for tendering and construction purposes
Managing design projects from concept through to completion including the consultation with all members of the design team
Attending site to review construction and installation works
Liaising with equipment Suppliers and Manufacturers
Liaising with Authorities, including Trade Waste, Plumbing, Fire Authority, etc
Researching new products and design practices to ensure the Company remains up-to-date with the latest building services technology
Preferred to have completed or be currently studying a Cert IV in Plumbing Engineering
Keen interest and a willingness to undertake further studies in fire and hydraulic services design.
You must have the rights to work in Australia and be based in the greater Brisbane area
Proven written and verbal communication skills
Sound problem solving skills
Ability to work both autonomously and within a design team environment
Coordination with other services disciplines (i.e. electrical, mechanical, etc.)
Ability to adapt seamlessly to change within the workplace
