About the Role
An opportunity for a Plumbing Scheduler/Estimator to join our team has arisen due to recent company growth. The ideal candidate will have a plumbing background or will possess the relevant knowledge and skills of the plumbing trade. Flexible part time hours available to begin with, with possibility of full-time hours in the future. Remuneration will be discussed and agreed upon, dependant on skills and previous experience. This position would suit an experienced plumber looking to get off the tools.

Your duties would include:

  • Assisting the Directors and Supervisor with the organisation of residential and commercial projects
  • Preparing accurate estimates for residential and commercial project quotations
  • Determine material, labour and machine requirements for jobs
  • Identifying labour and material costs, production times, etc. 
  • Coordination, review and analysis of tenders
  • Offer design inputs and understanding plumbing design standards
  • Input data in computer system, complete costings and prepare system quotes
  • Process purchase orders for materials
  • General office tasks including data entry, liaising with suppliers, completing WHS paperwork (including SWMS)
  • Coordinate with office team members and help prepare construction plans for projects
  • Maintain client relationships

Essential Criteria:
- 2+ years Plumbing Estimating/Scheduling experience especially with New Homes construction
- Proficient in reading and understanding plans and addendas
- Good understanding of drawings and plumbing technical specifications 
- Great organisation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven computer literacy skills proficient in MS Office 

Desired Criteria:
- Knowledge of simPRO software system
- Must be presentable, polite, and punctual
- Ability to work in a team environment, but trusted to also work independently and unsupervised
