The Opportunity

Black Cat Civil  has an opportunity for an experienced Diesel Fitters to provide breakdown assistance and maintenance for our fleet of heavy earth moving equipment across a number of regional and remote projects in the Northern Territory. 

The successful applicant will work on a range of graders, excavators, loaders, dozers, rollers, prime movers, light vehicles and generators. 

The successful candidate will work on a 2 weeks on, 1 week off roster with flights and accommodation provided by the business.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

Servicing, maintenance and repairs of various mobile equipment including heavy earthmoving equipment, trucks and light vehicles.

Troubleshooting mechanical faults

Attending 'machine-down' breakdowns on site.

Liaising with the Fleet Manager to organise and coordinate parts. 

Preventative maintenance

Desired skills & experience 

• Minimum of 4yrs+ years fitting experience, preferably on heavy earth moving equipment.
• Air-Con ticket will be highly regarded
• Hydraulics experience
• Extensive experience fitting Caterpillar equipment.
• Strong focus on safety and quality.
• Proven field service experience.
• Reliable and a team player.
