Operations Manager

FNQ local business operating in Townsville for over 20 years supplying their clients with a variety of commercial cleaning services, currently seeking an Operation Manager for their branch.

The Employer

The team provides high-quality commercial cleaning and facility management, with complementing glass and flooring cleaning solutions.  The company is committed to safe environmental practices to reduce the risk of adverse impact resulting from their activities.

The Opportunity

As an Operation Manager, you are the focal point the day to day operation of managing delivery of service to their clients as well as managing the cleaning staff.

You will be working closely with the General Manager of the branch as well as the ground crew.  You are the responsible of the service delivery ensuring that every contract and job is executed to the client's requirements at the highest professional standards, ensuring compliance and safety are not breached.

Management delivery of service to clients:

  • Recruitment, hiring and induction of staff
  • Training, rostering and supervision of staff
  • Managing and ensuring the upkeep, the supplying of appropriate paperwork for registers being maintained & systems
  • Performing commercial cleaning work on occasions when required to cover for other staff taking annual or sick leave
  • Conduct service audits on a scheduled basis
  • Maintain a stock of equipment & chemicals for staff use

Administration Reporting & Requirements:

  • Assemble all necessary paperwork for new employees
  • Managing staff time sheets & summaries
  • Prepare monthly management report 

Duties will include:

  • Supervision of existing staff 
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on sites 
  • Maintaining and improving standards of cleaning
  • Ensure safe practices are followed 
  • Ordering and manage stock
  • Regular face-to-face consultations with clients
  • Minimise waste of chemicals and supplies
  • Manage roster
  • Perform periodical cleaning at work sites when required

Requirements

  • Driver's Licence
  • Police clearance
  • Experience in management within a service type industry
  • White Card and Blue Card or willing to obtain
