An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Administration Officer to join the Wurundjeri Woi wurrung Cultural Heritage Aboriginal Corporation, at our Abbotsford Convent offices.
The Wurundjeri Corporation is a Registered Aboriginal Party (RAP) appointed under the Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006. The Corporation holds statutory responsibilities for the protection and management of Aboriginal cultural heritage objects and places in Victoria. Additional functions of the Corporation include environmental land management, cross-cultural education, traditional welcome to country and smoking ceremonies, and cultural consultations.
Position Purpose:
The key role of the RAP Administration Officer position is the general administration management of all Cultural Heritage Management Plan and Cultural Heritage Permit projects that go through the Wurundjeri Corporation Cultural Heritage Unit. This includes but is not limited to
This role would suit someone who has an interest in Indigenous cultural heritage, and a strong background in office administration and bookings.
The key requirements of the role are:
1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Microsoft Excel).
2. A strong attention to detail;
3. The ability to multi task and deal with competing priorities;
4. Must have good interpersonal skills and a resilient personality.
