Deputy Continuing Airworthiness Manager/Technical Services/Reliability Engineer

Skippers, WA's Truly Regional Airline, welcome applicants for the position of Deputy Continuing Airworthiness Manager/Technical Services/Reliability Engineer within the Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (Part 42 Organisation) located at Perth Airport.

Brief Description:

Reporting to the Continuing Airworthiness Manager, the Deputy Continuing Airworthiness Manager/Technical Services/Reliability Engineer is responsible for maintaining the airworthiness and modification status of the Skippers fleet of aircraft, defect monitoring and providing support to the Part 145 Maintenance Organisation.

Working with the CAMO team which includes Maintenance Planners, Technical Records and Technical Library, you will help to ensure the continuing airworthiness of Skippers' substantial fleet of Conquest, Metro, Brasilia and Fokker 100 aircraft.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement of aircraft component and modification planning and system improvements for the Skippers fleet.
  • Assist the Continuing Airworthiness Manager to fulfill roles and responsibilities as listed in CASR Part 42.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, aircraft manufacturers and Skippers departments to develop and manage technical programmes or investigations.
  • Review and assess technical literature from OEM's and national airworthiness authorities and assessment of Instructions for Continuing Airworthiness (ICAs).
  • Provide technical support, advice and liaison for the CAMO and Part 145 maintenance organisation and other providers/stakeholders.
  • Evaluate Technical Services Instructions and Engineering Orders.
  • Implement and review Technical support for the fleet the Reliability Program.
  • Embrace the Skippers Safety Management System.

Requirements:

  • Possess or be in a position to obtain the necessary qualification and experience required to hold the position of Continuing Airworthiness Manager in accordance with CASR Part 42 Manual of Standards (Section 1.6).
  • Previous experience in Aviation maintenance activities and management, and/or licenced aircraft maintenance engineer.
  • Ability to source, analyse and action relevant technical and operational data.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of regulations and standards.
  • Experience on Skippers fleet of aircraft types is desirable.
  • Experience with software such as IAS and AvSys will be highly regarded.
  • A high level of written and verbal communication skills.
  • An ability to think laterally and problem solve.
  • Self-motivated with team work and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload and work within time constraints.
  • Excellent with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proven business acumen and strategic planning skills with strong analytical skills and sound judgment.
  • High level program management and service delivery experience.
  • Satisfy the requirements of obtaining Aviation Security Identity Card (ASIC).
