LMS Energy is the national leader in biogas-to-energy and solar on landfill. LMS Energy requires the services of a full-time or part-time Engineering Graduate to work within the Control Systems team at our Prospect Office in Adelaide, South Australia. LMS is happy to offer an initial part-time or casual position for candidates currently studying in their final year. You will be required to report to the Controls Group Manager where your role will primarily involve assisting and supporting the operations and engineering teams with the design, development and servicing of various projects.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the design and development of control systems
• Assist with the maintenance of existing control systems
• Assist with the development of communication systems
• Apply knowledge and technical understanding in the field of electrical engineering
• Assist with the development of control system design documentation covering specifications, control philosophy, I/O lists, cause and effect and scopes of work
• Assist with the preparation of data sheets, instrumentation setting sheets, material schedules, component sourcing, technical reports and operator manuals
• Interpret, mark-up and or modify P&IDs in accordance with selected instrumentation
• Apply an understanding of relevant standards, codes and guidelines
• Participate in Risk Management activities through preparation of risk assessments and HAZOPs
• Apply project management methods in managing schedules and controlling costs
• Liaise with stakeholders to ensure design compliance and timely delivery of projects
• Conduct research and development as directed

Requirements:

• Completed or currently studying an applicable Engineering Degree accepted by the Institute of Engineers Australia
• Demonstrated high-level language programming skills with an understanding of electrical engineering

• Passion for making things happen and a strong can-do attitude
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Self-driven and able to work autonomously
• Attention to detail, advanced problem-solving and time management skills
