Allspec Engineering is a medium sized Fabrication company offering a one-stop shop to our clients for all steel fabrication, maintenance and engineering requirements.  Operating multiple facilities based in Henderson, the Allspec team consists of experienced, energetic individuals who work together to deliver quality projects predominately in the fixed plant mining sector.

As a result of our active pipeline of work and our healthy growth strategy we are currently expanding our team and looking for a Estimator to work at our Henderson office.

About the Position

Reporting into the Operations Manager, this role will take responsibility for tendering from enquiry through to submission.  Producing estimates and tenders for SMP fabrication works,  maintenance and projects

Key duties include;

• Liaising with clients on all aspects of the tender process;
• Sourcing and liaising with suppliers and sub-contractors as required to successfully price tender;
• Compiling all aspects of the tender, clearly outlining inclusions and exclusions;
• Estimating using first principle, norms and tonnage rates methods;
• Undertaking negotiations with both suppliers and clients;
• Working closely with the project delivery team to ensure effective handover and execution to meet client expectations and ensure project profitability

About you

An experienced Estimator with a proven track record of producing successful steel fabrication tenders to the mining sector you will have the following key skills;Sound knowledge of heavy fabrication and welding;

• Experience of estimating using tonnage rates, norms and first principle techniques;
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal;
• Ability to work under pressure and meet demanding deadlines;
• Attention to detail;
• IT literate with working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite;
• Knowledge of STRUMIS would be a definite advantage
