The Balance Sheet is a small bookkeeping firm based in our home offices in Port Stephens and Lake Macquarie NSW, offering a wide range of bookkeeping services.
We have a vacancy for a locally based, skilled bookkeeper to join our team. This newly created position is all about flexibility, with the ability to work from home & client offices if needed. Initial training will be held on-site at our Lake Macquarie premises so you must be able to attend this in person. Once training complete you will have the option to work at either of our locations, at home and occasionally on-site. So, while this is a remote position, we are looking for someone who wants to be part of our Newcastle team who can attend training and meetings when required.
During the week you can make your own hours,just meet client expectations and deadlines.
This role will commence on a casual basis, around 10-15 hours per week, with the potential to grow.
Duties will include, but not limitedto:
Data entry into accountingsystems (Xero, MYOB, Quickbooks)
Processing accountspayable & bank reconciliations
Preparation and processing of client payrolls
Assistance with BAS and IAS preparation
Other general bookkeeping, documentmanagement and otheradministrative tasks as required.
Tobe successful in this role, you will have:
Cert IV in bookkeeping (or currently studying) and previous experiencein bookkeeping including payroll processing
Experience using Xero and MYOB AccountRight
Strong knowledgeof Microsoft Office suite
Comfortable with learning and using multiple computer software systems
Strong attention to detail and the ability to enter information in an accurate and timely manner
Awesome communication skills
Drivers licence with reliablevehicle
