About the role

AHA is seeking a communications professional experienced in digital media management and project management to join the Corporate Services team on a full-time basis, for the period of one year with the possibility of extension. You will be an integral part of a dynamic and fun team, working under the direction of the Communications Manager.

Key responsibilities include:

  • coordinating activities that drive engagement across all of AHA's digital media channels such as social media, website, video, etc.
  • managing projects and communications strategies at various stages of their lifecycle 
  • publishing and monitoring content on AHA's digital media platforms
  • analysing digital media performance to optimise the use of existing channels
  • evaluating and reporting on digital communication activities
  • assisting with corporate and project communications tasks
  • developing and maintaining relationships with member organisations and partners

Skills and experience

ESSENTIAL:

  • Tertiary study qualifications in communications or relevant discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience (three years or more) in professional writing, editing, publishing, digital media and/or journalism.
  • Experience in managing projects and delivering communications strategies with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience with relevant software applications such as Outlook, Microsoft Office suite, WordPress, Campaign Monitor, Google Analytics, Hootsuite, etc.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple managers and adapt to change. 
  • Experience in managing social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.
  • Proficiency in email marketing.
  • Demonstrated experience in generating growth and engagement across digital media channels.
  • Ability to work autonomously. 
  • Excellent writing and editing skills and the ability to communicate technical information in plain language.
  • Excellent inter-personal skills and ability to build and maintain professional relationships.

DESIRABLE:

  • Experience and first-hand understanding of publishing processes (both print and web).
  • Proficiency in Adobe publication tools such as InDesign, Photoshop, etc.
  • Skills in website and digital performance optimisation. 
  • Experience in user experience design, campaign development, campaign tracking and analytics, and customer journey mapping. 
  • Experience in applying a customer-centric approach to work activities.

Remuneration for this position is $74,660 - $101,324 (inclusive of super).
