HDPE Welding Technicians, Quality Assurance Officers, Labourers

With over 30 years experience, Merit Lining Systems (MLS) is a Specialist Geosynthetic Contractor with a solid reputation for supplying and installing a range of containment and earth stabilising solutions. Our areas of expertise include pond and dam liners, heap and dump leach pads, landfill lining systems, tank, reservoir and channel liners, floating covers, secondary containment liners and rehabilitation capping.

MLS have a strong pipeline of projects upcoming including the Geomembrane Liner Scope for RIO TINTO GOVE POND 5 decommissioning works and is recruiting HDPE Sheet Welding Technicians (IAGI Qualified), Quality Assurance Officers with experience in the Geosynthetics Industry and Labourers. While our offices are based in Brisbane and Perth, suitable applicants shall be considered from anywhere across Australia.

You will be required to:

• Install HDPE Geomembrane, Geotextile and other Geosynthetics.
• Be competent in Wedge Welding and Extrusion Welding (IAGI CWT qualifications are favourable)
• Take care to ensure all MLS equipment is maintained and serviced to a high standard, reporting any maintenance requirements immediately. 
• Work in remote areas and mine sites on rosters. Night shift work can be expected during extreme weather conditions.
• Be physically fit and healthy, must be able to pass a Pre-Employment Medical and Drug and Alcohol Screen.
• Demonstrate experience working effectively in a team environment.
• Demonstrate ability to take and follow direction and instructions.
• Be committed, loyal & trustworthy.
• Maintain open lines of communication with Supervisors.

Prerequisites:

• White Card/Construction Induction
• Minimum of 3 years experience in the Construction or Mining Industry
• Resume with previous work history and references.
