SCECS is a not-for-profit, operating high-quality Preschool, Long Day Care and Out of School Hours Care services within the Sydney Archdiocese.  Providing high-quality education and care programs and delivered by qualified and passionate Educators. SCECS caters for children and families within our Catholic schools and operates in close partnership with the local Catholic school and Parish community.

About the opportunity

Reporting to the CEO, the Primary purpose of the role of the Project Portfolio Officer is to identify, engage and coordinate the development of new business opportunities for Sydney Catholic Early Childhood Services in the areas of Outside School Hours Care and Early Childhood Preschool/Long Day Care services. 

Key responsibilities

  • Build the portfolio of services managed and operated by Sydney Catholic Early Childhood Services
  • Develop and implement strategies and tools for the continuous monitoring and evaluation of the growth of services, including risk and contingency management.
  • Analyse demographic data and market analysis to forecast feasibility of service locations 
  • Manage stakeholder relationships particularly with Catholic Parish Priests and Catholic primary school principals through effective communication, negotiation and issues management to ensure they are well informed and supported 
  • Drafting, negotiating and reviewing business proposal and contracts
  • Responsible for service approval processes with NSW regulators
  • Create and maintain comprehensive dashboard and portfolio reports that clearly document growth and targeted future services.

To be successful you will have

  • Tertiary qualifications and extensive project management experience.
  • Desired experience in NSW regulatory procedures and processes in the establishment of Early Childhood Services.
