TOURISM COMMERCIAL FINANCE MANAGER, EXPEDITIONS

In this full time role you will support the achievement of corporate strategic goals by partnering with the Managing Director Tasmania and General Managers to provide high quality financial and operational performance reporting, critical analysis and help drive operational efficiencies.

 

You will have demonstrated experience in providing strong leadership, operate independently and your proven skills and qualifications will include:

  • CPA or CA qualification.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Accounting standards/principles and the ability to apply them.
  • Proven accounting experience within the Tourism/Hospitality industry.
  • Sound experience in the preparation of Monthly Board, Management Reporting, Annual Statutory Accounts, and continuous improvement of the like.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the development of business strategies for the Expeditions business. 
  • Ensure key revenue initiatives have a sound basis in consumer insights, commercial thinking and financial analysis.
  • Leverage both internal and external data to build insights in the business to support decision making and growth.
  • Optimise operational efficiencies, control costs and introduce business improvement initiatives.
  • Review and analyse financial reports and improve areas of poor performance or non-achievement of targets.
  • Build a high performing and highly engaged team through role modelling, delegation and a hands-on approach to coaching your team.
