Turama Industries has been in operation for over 40 years. We manufacture varied high quality products for a number of Multinational Companies. Due to an increase in work load we require the services of a talented Fitter and Turner to join our team. The position will be based at our Silvan Factory (Outer east of Melbourne).

Task & Responsibilities

• The Job involves varied machining and assembly activities producing small quantities of quality products.
• Design and Manufacture of Machining , Assembly and Welding Jigs and Fixtures for our Fabrication team.
• Checking dimensions on fabricated components comply with the drawings
• Provide optimal manufacturing processes and times to assist in providing quotations for customers
• Liaising with our customers regarding best manufacture option for various components
• You must possess the ability to work as a team member and have a professional approach to the task at hand.

The successful candidate will require the following:

• Trade Qualification.
• Experience with programing and running CNC Machining Centers 
• General machining on lathes, mills etc.
• Must be able to read Engineering drawings and produce accurate components from those drawings.
• Ability to MIG Weld an advantage
