About the role

You will provide exceptional communications and event management expertise to support the delivery of cultural and operational initiatives.  

This is a great opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative team within a growing and transforming organisation. Reporting to the Communications Manager for [email protected], this is an 18-month contract, based in Hawthorn, Melbourne.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage the delivery of large-scale annual events
  • Coordinate the delivery of a series of smaller on-line and in-person events
  • Develop, implement and measure communication plans for projects and initiatives
  • Create supporting collateral including printed materials, toolkits, videos etc
  • Write and edit content for internal and external channels supporting content strategy
  • Provide general communications support and administrative tasks as required

We’re looking for someone who

  • Has a minimum of 4 to 5 years’ experience within a Communications role
  • Is Tertiary qualified in Communications, Marketing, or a related discipline
  • Has experience in managing events, large and small
  • Is highly competent in verbal, written, traditional, and digital communication
  • Possesses strong networking and interpersonal skills
  • Can manage competing priorities, and deliver outcomes in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Is delivery-focused, problem solvers who show creativity and initiative
  • Can work collaboratively and independently

Please note, the successful applicant will be required to hold valid NDIS worker screening check and a Working with Children Check issued for employment in the Disability sector.  If you have lived or worked for a continuous period of 12 months or more in another country within the last 10 years, a certified International Police Check from that country or countries will also be required.
