About the role
Reporting into the Recreation Officer, you will assist in addressing enquiries regarding third party access to Seqwater sites by the public, community groups and emergency service organisations. You will liaise with community groups, sporting bodies, the general public and Seqwater staff regarding public access and event organisation on Seqwater sites. This is a varied role that will see you doing something different everyday.
When working in the office you will administer agreements relating to the day to day operations of the recreation areas across the region and provide administrative support to the Recreation & Catchment Services team in a timely and efficient manner. You will ensure that the recreation information on the Seqwater website and other community engagement tools remains current and comprehensive, this will involve you working closely with members of the Communication, Education and Engagement team. When working out in the field you may be undertaking site visits, conducting assurance inspections and compliance of site management, or interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
Whilst it is predominantly an office based role, you will be required to travel around Seqwater sites from time to time.
You will be a people person with demonstrated experience in engaging with community groups/organisations and dealing with general public. Your well-developed interpersonal, communication, negotiation and customer service skills, particularly the ability to liaise with customers, external organisations, managers and staff at all levels will set you up for success in this role. Well-developed computer literacy skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Internet, coupled with experience in providing advice and support services to internal work groups and management is essential.

This position is paid in accordance with Seqwater's Enterprise Agreement with a starting salary of $76,501.79 plus superannuation.
