A subsidiary of HVG, Smartstone is one of Australias leading distributors of quartz & porcelain surfaces. We are seeking a relationship focused individual to join the Queensland team to manage a portfolio of retail/kitchen cabinet makers and stonemasons in North Queensland with travel to Townsville and Mackay required approximately every 6-8 weeks. You will be responsible for the development of the existing clients business and also finding new business. Ideally the position would be located in Cairns.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will have:
Proven sales ability, with a strong focus on driving new business through proactive initiatives, while nurturing an existing client base.
You will preferably have experience in the kitchen or bathroom renovation markets.
Have the ability to effectively promote and maximise the specification of Smartstone surfaces through kitchen designers, joiners and stonemasons.
Effectively manage & maintain Smartstone merchandise within the showroom environment.
You will demonstrate success in having achieved sales targets, develop & effectively implement a sales business plan. The ability to develop customer relationships through effective call planning and client management is key.
Can-do attitude - the ability to think laterally & achieve sales targets.
You work well autonomously & in a small team environment.
Motivated and driven working with clients to tailor promotions to increase business and exposure.
