Senior Farm Overseer

McMichael & Associates are looking for a skilled farm overseer for a mixed operation south of Bathurst. The position will require the suitable candidate to work closely alongside the manager on a 1640ha property. The property is currently running 2500 Primeline Ewes and 250 head of Breeding cattle.

The successful applicant will require:

• Extensive experience in performing and overseeing all aspects of livestock production and animal health as well as the operation and maintenance of all associated plant & machinery
• At least 2 skilled working dogs
• Proven ability to execute and follow current farm programs
• Attention to detail in all aspects of farming operations
• Accurate record keeping
• Strong ability to work efficiently and at times independently
• Chemical accreditation and application experience
• Manual driver's license
• Adhere to and cultivate an environment based on safe working practices and WH&S regulations

The suitable candidate will need to have a good level of physical fitness, a strong work ethic and flexibility to work around the demands brought on by the role.

This position provides the candidate with the opportunity to be involved in the development and growth of a versatile operation. A competitive remuneration package is on offer with a well looked after 4-bedroom house included on farm. This position would suit a young family with the option of several great schools locally with buses stopping at the front gate.
