Due to increased work load we are seeking a Qualified Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to become part of our team. A diverse background in all areas of servicing, maintenance and repairs on a variety of makes & models is desirable.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
Maintenance and repairs of heavy vehicle equipment including trucks and trailers
Breakdown and troubleshooting repairs
Provide guidance and assistance to apprentices as required
Completion of daily paperwork
Fit outs to new trucks
Attending vehicle breakdowns as necessary
Participating in an alternate call out roster
The successful applicant will possess the following skills:
Heavy Vehicle Trade Qualification (with 2 years post trade experience not essential but highly regarded)
Experience in maintenance and repair/overhaul of heavy vehicles
Exceptional time management skills
Auto electrical knowledge and experience (not necessary but will be regarded)
Able to work individually and in a team environment
Good communication skills (written and oral)
Current drivers licence (MC licence & forklift licence highly regarded)
Hours consist of:
7am 5pm Monday to Friday (with overtime as required)
Every second Saturday (7am start with varying hours)
Remuneration includes full time position (with probation period of 3 months), above award wage will be offered depending on experience.
