Essential requirements: -

  • Keeping equipment available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles and completing preventive maintenance.
  • Maintaining vehicle functional conditions by listening to operator complaints; conducting inspections; repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; replacing parts and components.
  • Verifying vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
  • Complies with state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
  • Maintaining vehicle records by recording service and repairs.
  • Keeping supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
  • Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
  • Accomplishes maintenance and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

 Desirable skills and qualifications: -

  • Motor Mechanic Trade Certificate is required
  • Valid Australian driver's full licence
  • Valid e safety check license
  • Commitment to workshop safety
  • Follow correct procedures and guidelines
  • Good attention to detail

Successful applicants must have: -

  • Motor mechanic three years experience is required
  • Effective communication, fluent in English speaking and writing
  • Effective problem solving
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
