Full time fixed term position.
Band 7, $97,850.10 - $109,619.57 plus Superannuation

An opportunity exists for a suitably passionate person to step into the role of Public Place Team Leader for 6 months to lead a contemporary team of landscape designers to create beautiful, safe and welcoming open spaces throughout Kingston.
Integral to the role will be advising other departments to ensure the delivery of high quality spaces in the public realm as well as providing technical input into many major projects underway across Kingston (including Suburban Rail Loop).
You will be responsible for overseeing a capital works budget of $2.5M and an operating budget of over $500K.
You will have:
Ability to demonstrate the City of Kingston’s values of Future Orientated, Accountable, Dynamic, Expert, Community and Celebration
Tertiary qualifications in Horticulture, Open Space, Landscape Design, or substantial demonstrated experience
Expertise and demonstrated experience in Management/Leadership roles
Experience working in a Local Government or in an organisation having strong links with Local Governments.
Knowledge of and familiarity with project, OH&S and budgeting practices
