Great opportunity for two (2) qualified CNC Machinists.
Our client is a successful, well-established Manufacturing organisation that services some of the most prominent industries around including aviation, hospitals, construction, trucking, etc.
An opportunity has arisen for TWO Trade Qualified CNC Machinists to join their team of experts.
Your day-to-day activities and responsibilities will look like this:
Daily machine allocation could be CNC, Lathe, or CNC Mill
Based on the drawing and blank provided, determine how the parts should be manufactured
Create the program and set up the machine
Select and set the right tools, cutters, and inserts
Operate the machine to process the parts
Confirm the parts meet the drawing
Make adjustments as required
Cleaning and maintenance of machines
Contribute to process and safety improvement projects
To be successful, you will need to demonstrate the following:
Skills & Experience
Setup and program CNC Mill - Milling
Setup and program CNC Lathe - Turning
Read, understand and interpret engineering drawings
Process planning and selection of machine tools
Use measuring tools
Experience with Fanuc controls an advantage
Experience with Mastercam CAD/CAM software an advantage
Strong numerical skills
Excellent attention to detail
Good communication skills both written and verbal
Good knowledge of OH&S
Enthusiastic and Self-motivated
Can work unsupervised and collaboratively
A competitive hourly rate, well above the award is on offer. Hours are full-time (38 a week), day shift with the opportunity to become permanent after a qualifying period for the right persons.
