Junior Administration Assistant

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic individual with excellent communication skills and attention to detail to join our team as full-time Junior Administration Assistant. Working at our Bayswater headquarters, this is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to commence a career in our small but busy business.

 

Your responsibilities would include but are not limited to: 

  • Receiving and handling telephone calls and emails professionally, building customer relationships
  • Receiving goods
  • Despatching goods (booking and scheduling of couriers/freight for deliveries)
  • Invoicing and follow up.
  • Purchasing of equipment and software with local and international suppliers
  • General administrative tasks (document management, mail, data entry, etc.)
  • Meeting and greeting clients (being the first point of contact for our clients/suppliers over the telephone and in person greet clients, answering calls, directing calls and taking messages)
  • Managing office supplies

 


In order to be successful in this role, you will possess the following skills, knowledge and attributes: 

  • Experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • General Accounts / Bookkeeping knowledge
  • Exceptional telephone manner
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly self-motivated, ability to work positively in a team as well as independently without supervision and use initiative.
  • The ability to take ownership of tasks, report back to management and see tasks through to completion.
  • Ability to independently manage time and prioritise work accordingly.
  • Positive in attitude towards colleagues, supervisors, and clients
  • Australian Permanent Residency

 

Would suit recent graduates of Cert IV or Cert III Business Administration studies. Experience in general administration duties will be looked upon favourably but is not essential.

Remuneration will be dependent on applicant experience.
