Graphic Designer

POSITION PURPOSE 

Empire Signs Group are seeking a new Graphic Designer to join our growing team. This is a part time position (3 days per week) with the flexibility to work additional hours during peak trade. 

 The Graphic Designer will be responsible for various aspects of the design of signage and other media, preparing artwork proofs, liaising with clients for final approval and setting artwork up for print. In addition, you will be designing logos and various printed collateral for clients, and regularly update Empire Signs social media accounts and website. 

We expect you to have deep know-how of design including knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, the ability to multi task and work independently in a fast paced work placed and ensure all projects are managed in a timely manner. 

 

Main Tasks: 

  • Design a wide range of signage solutions from digital wall prints to shop signage and vehicle graphics
  • Prepare layouts of signage design for client approval and feedback
  • Logo design and business stationery
  • Development of print and digital design style guides
  • Prepare artwork files for print production
  • Social media and website updates
  • Design across all digital assets, eg website, advertising, electronic newsletters, banners, social media and other digital media.
  • Empire Signs branding collateral and vehicle designs
  • Tender monitoring
  • Award applications and proposals 
  • Maintain and develop client relationships to achieve on-going return business 
  • Liaise with management to complete design work efficiently and effectively
  • Ensure output meets quality standards
  • Represent the best interest of the company at all times

 Other Duties:

  • Fulfil other duties as required by management and other department personnel as requested/required.
  • Keep factory and surrounding clean

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor / Diploma in Graphic Design

Experience:

  • Knowledge and experience in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign and Flexi

Other:

  • Driving licence essential
