Opportunity for an experienced Structural Engineer to join a growing team, with a reputation for an innovative approach to design and for a collaborative approach with stakeholders.
We are a Western Australian company providing consultancy services in the fields of structural and civil engineering. Our principal strengths are in planning, design and documentation of building structures and associated civil works. Expertise includes:
Design and documentation of residential, commercial, and industrial projects
Structural analysis and detailed design of unique projects, materials and building systems.
Contract administration and project construction inspection
Forensic assessment, expert advice, and reporting
This role will focus on structural analysis, design, and detailing, however proficiency with structural draughting software and a thorough understanding of construction systems will be advantageous.
This is an opportunity for involvement across varied design projects, to work collaboratively with clients, designers, and other stakeholders.
Develop innovative designs with a focus on quality, buildable and cost-effective solutions.
Coordinate the delivery of the project to meet timelines and budget,
Prepare proposals and identify opportunities for client development,
Work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary project teams,
On-site construction stage inspections and advice,
Liaison with drafts people and other members of the team to produce final set of drawings,
Lead structural design input on a broad range of projects.
Provide supportive structural design input to principal and senior engineers and drafts people.
You will be a proactive, enthusiastic engineer, with the right combination of talent, energy, and a commitment to technical excellence.
Demonstrate strong design ability and engineering skills and knowledge.
Relevant professional tertiary qualifications in Civil or Structural Engineering
A minimum of 5 years post-graduate design experience in residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
Successful completion of a range of structural engineering design projects
Demonstrated ability to communicate collaboratively and effectively with clients and other stakeholders and work within a team.
Experience with onsite inspections and demonstrated ability to work with builders to develop safe and effective solutions.
Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
Sound understanding of relevant Australian Standards.
Experience with the structural design of timber, masonry, steel and concrete preferred.
Comfortable working on both large and small projects, independently and within a team.
Strong time management and organisational skills, completing tasks on time and budget.
Flexible work approach and willingness to take on new tasks and duties as they arise.
Proficient user of structural design software (Multiframe or Robot preferable)
Proficiency in Revit or Autocad desirable.
