Bookkeeper

The Ridgeway Group is looking for a new bookkeeper to join our team.

 

The Business

Spanning from Coolangatta all the way up through Mermaid Beach and Broadbeach, the Ridgeway Group are setting the bar for both beautiful venues and tantalizing food and drink menus. The venues currently include Little Truffle Dining Room & Bar, the BiN Bar & Dining brand, What a Catch fish/chips/raw bar,  as well as Ridgeway Group Catering.

The Person

We require an experienced Bookkeeper for a full-time position based in Ashmore.

• Professionally mannered with good written and verbal communication skills
• Willing to learn with a positive approach to tasks
• Shows initiative and is resourceful
• Detail oriented

 

The Responsibilities

• High volume Accounts Payable including prepayments and accruals
• Full Accounts Receivable function
• Payroll processing for between 50 to 70 staff weekly
• Bank Reconciliations
• End of Month journal entries
• Weekly and Monthly Reporting
• Preparation of reports for BAS lodgement
• Assist with compliance where required
• Other tasks as required

 

The Skills and Experience demonstrated 

• Certificate IV in Accounting or similar minimum qualification
• Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
• Advanced Skills in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel
• High Volume Account Receivable experience
• Exceptional communication both written and verbal
• Experience working to a deadline and prioritising workload
• Hospitality Industry experience preferred but not essential
• Xero software experience desirable
