Accounts Payable Clerk

A medium sized privately owned chemical manufacturer based in Balcatta has an opening for a part time Accounts Payable Clerk. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible to provide a high-level, end-to-end accounts payable support whilst adhering to accurate financial processes.  

We are looking to fill this long term position with someone that wants stability and to be a part of a wonderful team. 25 30 hours per week preferably Monday to Friday but hours are flexible within prescribed limits, and school hours are acceptable. 

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to 

  • Capturing, Coding and Data Entry of Supplier invoices
  • Process payments to creditors when required
  • Preparation of month end reconciliation and information packs
  • Communicating with Suppliers
  • Asset register maintenance
  • Cash flow management
  • Reconciliation and management of Bank Accounts, including petty cash
  • Other General Administration tasks including filing

Essential

  • Previous experience in a similar capacity
  • Microsoft Excel - basic to intermediate skills required
  • Ability to problem solve and show initiative 
  • Time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks
  • A willingness to work in a small team-based environment
  • An ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when needed
  • Ability to communicate effectively and courteously with management, staff and customers
