We are currently seeking a Technical Interface Manager to join our Rolling Stock delivery team working on the Sydney Metro project. Your role will be to manage project interfaces external to the rolling stock, e.g. Track, Overhead Wiring, Platform Screen Doors, Radios, Signalling etc.
This will primarily involve liaising with the customer and other suppliers to make sure all integration is well defined from definition to installation and testing.
Key Responsibilities for this Role Include:
Act as the day to day contact point with the customer for all technical & interface related issues related to the rolling stock.
Support the engineering team as required to provide on shore information, local context knowledge and clarifications.
Support client acceptance process and collect feedback for technical submissions.
Supervise and coordinate all external interfaces issues from specification, design, integration to validation.
Act as an interface contact for liaison and coordination with other interfacing contractors; namely track, power supply, rolling stock, communications etc.
Identify and collect the interface needs between rolling stock, signalling and other interfacing contractors.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required Includes:
Relevant Bachelor degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical or Mechanical) or similar.
Significant experience in rolling stock, including design, system integration and validation.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify critical tasks & issues and take action to ensure execution, delivery and follow-up.
Excellent people and stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
Background working within a complex international environment would be an advantage.
