Quality Engineer -Completion Systems - Water Treatment Plant Upgrade

Due to a recent project win we are now seeking applications from qualfiied a Quality Engineer to join the team on site in the Surat Basin on a fulltime 6 month fixed term contract, with the potential to go full time permanent. This will be on a 19/9 DIDO roster.

About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Project Manager, the successful candidate will be required to support and advise the project team on quality matters and undertake general inspections of civil works, earthworks, pipe welding, coating, structural fabrication and testing processes.

Your responsibilities will include ensuring worked are performed in accordance with the Quality management system and Client requirements, ensure inspections and test activities are conducted in accordance with approved Inspection and Test Plans, report on product and process non-conformances and assist in the review/approval of subcontractor quality documents, assist in preparation and maintenance of corporate and project specific quality documentation and ensuring the work is completed to a high standard with regarding to quality, safety and timeliness. We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with excellent communication skills coupled with the ability to prioritise their workload.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience  
  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar role in the Oil & Gas/ Water industry
  • Proven experience in Infrastructure quality requirements
  • Thorough understanding of and experience in pipe welding
  • Excellent understanding and knowledge of applicable code and standard requirements
  • Current Welding Inspection Certification (CSWIP/WTIS) is required
  • NACE level 1 or higher qualification is advantageous
  • Developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to liaise with client and subcontractor representatives
