Lubrication Technician

About the role

You will be responsible for all fixed plant lubrication tasks associated with the effective operation of the processing plant ensuring operational requirements meet site standards of efficiency, quality and safety.

You will schedule and undertake all lubrication activities; carry out oil sampling and provide specialist support to the maintenance teams on lubrication tasks and applying best lube practices. Your proactive approach will see you contribute to the safe and productive improvements of processes and practices within your work area.

Key accountabilities include but are not limited to manual greasing, single point lubricator maintenance, oil and grease top ups/changes, filter and breather changes and oil sampling as required on a variety of fixed plant equipment including;

• Conveyor systems
• Gyratory cone crushers
• High pressure grinding rollers
• Ball mills
• Vibrating screens & feeders
• Dewatering screens
• Pumping systems
• Flotation/CIL Tanks

About you

• Experience in a processing or heavy industrial environment.
• Proven understanding of lubrication and condition monitoring techniques: Vibration routes, Oil sampling and Non-Destructive Techniques.
• Demonstrated understanding in the lubrication and servicing of mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Mechanical trade.
• Class manual drivers licence.
• A positive attitude and desire to implement the best maintenance and reliability practices.
• Senior First Aid certificate is desirable.
