Graduate Maintenance Engineer

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and committed Graduate Engineer to join our Maintenance Team on the Sydney Metro Project. In this role, you will work with a dedicated team to ensure reliability of the driverless signalling system Communication Based Train Control (CBTC).

Key Responsibilities for this Role Include:

  • Carrying out preventative & Corrective maintenance programmes and repair of the CBTC Signalling and Communication equipment.
  • Regularly monitoring signalling and Communication defects and failures and liaise with key Stakeholders, Suppliers & Sub-contractors
  • Install system hardware and software upgrades.
  • Actively participate in closing work reports within Asset Information System
  • Act as Alstoms representative on shift, providing technical support to the Operator and maintenance staff.
  • Record and report all information relevant to Operational Safety Incidents / Accidents, service defects and failures in a detailed and efficient manner.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required Includes:

  • Bachelor Degree in Communications Engineering, Electrical engineering, Software Engineering or similar
  • Analytical thinker with the ability to troubleshoot probklems and provide practical solutions
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with people at all levels
  • Strong IT skills, particularly with MS Excel
  • Enthusiasm and curiosity to learn and ask questions.
